Parade Mapper
Parade Mapper is a mobile drawing machine developed for the Noorderlicht Parade, organised by the InSitu department. Created in collaboration with Wouter Varnier and Enya Duchateau, the cart prints chalk patterns directly onto the street as it moves through the urban environment, transforming the parade route into a temporary drawing.
The project pays homage to Mass Moving, the Belgian art movement that explored collective action, mobility and the transformation of public space through artistic interventions.
Materials: Pallets, MDF, plywood, foam, jerrycans, lights and wood.
